the 2nd camp mechanic is not as straight forward as you might think so please read everything that gets posted and take your time. You cannot just do the PipBoy move camp to activate your 2nd camp, it must be done through the map or you move your primary CAMP.

I hear your complaint, but I'll offer you an easy solution: Blueprint your foundation separate from the structure you build on top of it. The foundation will rarely have any issues when being placed by itself, and the whole structure will snap on top of it.
The one's I am meaning are those boxes that are in the inventory under the category "Mods". I've tried scrapping them, "using" them like when learning a new plan or recipe, but I can't get them to do anything...

Each type of mod box requires its own set of specific components. For example, crafting a Cavalier's Mod Box requires 10 Oil and 15 Legendary Modules.
