I've used both and personally prefer MO2, but i think both are good. If you don't intend to make use of collections, the MO2 is definetely better imo. There's plenty of good tutorials on youtube and a lot of threads online showing resolutions to more specific issues.
Vortex is designed with this technique in mind based off limitations encountered with developing MO2. Although in most instances, the mod author will recommend manual installation anyway. If you're not having issues with Vortex, use it.
MO2 is probably the superior choice for most installs. Vortex will work in a pinch though. I highly recommended MO2. I built my modlist on it, and I would never go back. It keeps everything nice and clean and after using it for a while, it becomes so much more powerful than anything else.
29 sty 2023 · Personally, I prefer Vortex due to the ability to mix and match individual files from different mods without having to delete anything. But you really do need to forget everything you know about how things are done in MO2 and learn how they're done in Vortex instead.
23 lut 2021 · Whether MO2 or Vortex is better depends a lot on you. MO2 if you have a good understanding of the technical aspects of how the game engine and mods work and want close control over things. Otherwise try Vortex.

12 wrz 2021 · I've used Vortex and FOMM before it, and prefer MO2. MO2 if only because all foundational modding guides use it and make it very easy to understand.
