Inactive Riot ID Name Rules. Since the transition to Riot IDs, the addition of tags (ie. the part that follows "#" in your Riot ID) means you don't have to worry about losing your Riot ID after a certain period of time! So if you've found that perfect Riot ID, don't worry about going on a long hiatus—it'll be waiting for you when you come back.

People can set Name to be whatever they want and that is the only thing displayed in 99% of circumstances. The #Tag is hidden and is basically only used to add people as friends or for distinguishing those with the same Name just like current Riot IDs.
