Completed the 2024-2025 FAFSA. I kept refreshing every 20min or so since this morning (sometimes a little more, sometimes less). Got in just after preparing dinner for my kids. Literally finished a few moments ago.
Excited to confirm that the 24/25 FAFSA *does* exist, and is not (entirely) a mythical creature. Looks like tonight's soft-launch window has already closed, though -- less than 15 minutes after I got in. The application does seem to be significantly easier than in prior years.
The 2024-25 FAFSA has nothing at all to do with your state financial aid and you have a long time to finish it. These amounts are not used until the fall 2024 semester begins. Although they send them to the colleges, they are just used for preplanning until much closer to the fall start date.
