  1. Completed the 2024-2025 FAFSA. I kept refreshing every 20min or so since this morning (sometimes a little more, sometimes less). Got in just after preparing dinner for my kids. Literally finished a few moments ago.

  2. I have started a poll - https://www.reddit.com/r/FAFSA/comments/1be3vmg/poll2_is_your_fafsa_202425_processed_and_you/ - to see how many they process in March and beyond. FYI, those submitted on 12/31/2023 are still waiting.

  3. It says check back in the first half of March. Submitted Jan 4. Not processed yet, I expect it to finish mid-late March. At max Early April. Per FedAid, FAFSAs will not be processed until the middle of March ( “in soft batches”).

  4. We’re past a soft opening for 2023. FAFSA was supposed to go live for the 23-24 school year. Congress granted a 1 year extension. DOE led us to believe for a year the new form would drop Dec 1st.

  5. I have tried on over ten different occasions, on two different devices and on two different browsers, to complete my 2024-2025 application. Each time I reach the "Signature" portion, it tells me it's time to review my information and repeats this on an endless loop.

  6. I'd expect to add an extra 5 minutes for each extra contributor on your account (i.e. parents, step parent of custodial parent, spouse, etc), and another 5-10 minutes if you're required to report assets. Still seems like it takes about half the time the form did for 2023-2024.

  7. Check the status of your FAFSA ® form in the Dashboard of your StudentAid.gov account. To confirm your FAFSA form has been submitted and to check the status of your form, follow these steps: Log in to StudentAid.gov using your account username and password.
