No. This game doesn't work with an Xbox One controller. It apparently can, but you have to play with your device manager to force it to default to the Xbone controller. Lol, incorrect. Since I posted this many months ago, I have since been playing with it and completed the game using my Xbox One controller with no issues..,
On Steam you can make it over-ride the lack of controller support. I was able to play it with a PS4 controller no problem. TLC edition with no mods or other apps.
Just purchased Fable Anniversary on Steam and it says that it has full controller support but my Xbox one controller is not working. It's very weird because it seems like some of the buttons work but definitely not all. For example, I can punch but my left joystick doesn't work at all. Any tips?

You need to go into Steam's Big Picture mode and assign the proper controller settings. Afterwards, you can exit Big Picture mode. My PS4 controller works for all of my Steam games.

Fable Anniversary. So I just downloaded fable anniversary and I’m trying to play with an Xbox series controller. It works great on all my other games but this game is reading the Y button as X, the X button as A and the A button as Y, B reads normally it things R3 is start and the left joystick won’t work at all so I can’t move.
