Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR) are tools used by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to restrict aircraft operations within designated areas.
The purpose of the Aircraft Materials Fire Test Handbook is to describe all FAA-required fire test methods for aircraft materials in a consistent and detailed format. The handbook provides information to enable the user to assemble and properly use the test methods.
A temporary flight restriction (TFR) is a regulatory action that temporarily restricts certain aircraft from operating within a defined area in order to protect persons or property in the air or on the ground. TFRs are issued in a NOTAM. You must obtain the NOTAM that establishes a TFR and understand what is and isn't allowed.
