The F/V Wizard (Fishing Vessel is a Coast Guard registered vessel) began fishing crab in 1979 during what is now known as the “King Crab Heyday” of the late 1970’s. She targeted primarily Bairdi crab (tanner) and the fledgling opilio crab (snow) throughout the 1980’s.

They are also brothers, and stars of the hit reality show “Deadliest Catch”. Their relationship, however, is not always smooth sailing.
Lynn has been working the summer months out of Dutch Harbor since he was 14 years old with his uncle and father onboard the F/V Seahawk and F/V Miss Amber fishing for halibut. The 2007 king crab season will be Lynn’s first job during the winter months onboard a big boat in the Bering Sea.
The fishing lifestyle and camaraderie of being part of a crew working in and against the elements captured him immediately. While initially looking only for adventure in Alaska’s unknown waters, Keith also found something unexpected: a career. In 1988, he became a full share deckhand on the Wizard.
