11 paź 2023 · A Closer Look at Eyelids. The eyelids are the first structure examined under the slit lamp microscope and are often quickly evaluated. Yet a ccurate assessments of common eyelid conditions and appropriate medical management can improve patients' quality of life.
Patients with eyelid lesions often present in the primary care setting, with the majority of eyelid lesions indicating benign pathology. Rarely, eyelid lesions can indicate malignant disease, which has the potential for metastatic spread and associated mortality.
