21 lip 2024 · For a Willys Jeep with an F134 engine, the service manual specifies the use of SAE 30 or 10W-30 oil when the temperature is not lower than 32°F (0°C). If the temperature drops to 10°F (-12°C), SAE 20, 20W, 10W-30, or 10W-20 is recommended.
15 lut 2016 · The Pennzoil oils with an API SM rating will have the reduced zinc content (800-850ppm) while those such as the Pennzoil Outdoor Motorcycle Motor Oil in both SAE 10W-40 and SAE 20W-50 with the API SH will have 1100-1200ppm zinc.

I would recommend you use an oil that still contains ZDDP, since it is beneficial to older engines. The new spec " green, ecologically friendly" car oils don't have it any more. Many of the "truck" oils still do have it.
There are two important things you should do. First stick to the SAE weight specified in the service manual. The weight of oil you use in anything depends on the engineering requirements for the operating temperature of the oil. So the hotter you run the oil, the thicker it must be.
14 lip 2020 · I remember reading somewhere that after the merger, it was decided by the corporate big shots to drop the Exxon Superflo product line and go with the Mobil line of lubes and oils as it was felt the Mobil name had a bigger name recognition.
