Extratropical cyclones are large-scale weather systems that form outside of the tropics, characterized by low-pressure centers and typically associated with fronts. These cyclones play a significant role in the weather patterns of mid-latitude regions, bringing changes in temperature, precipitation, and wind as they move through the atmosphere.
