3 maj 2022 · Exosphere. The exosphere is the outer layer of the Earth’s atmosphere. It extends from the thermopause or exobase (500–1000 km; 310–620 mi; 1,600,000–3,300,000 ft) to around 100,000 km (6,200 mi; 33,000,000 ft). At this point, the atmosphere merges into the solar wind.
