Sometimes the file is locked by another user, and other times the "another user" is actually you. If you have locked the file yourself, it might be because the file is open on a different device, or the previous instance of the file didn't close properly.

6 sie 2019 · We have found although we have told users to close this file after they are finished using it, many users leave it open. We are getting the error "FILE IN USE : Locked for editing by another user". I have only found the answer to close the file or to ask the user to close the file.
