28 lut 2019 · Hi, I'm using formulas referencing to files in the same folder/location but still get the #Value Error, the formula will only work when source file is open. any ideas on what is causing this and how.
12 lut 2014 · There are 2 possible things: Make sure the format of the cell is not 'Text'. If it is, change to something else, such as 'General' and then double click in the formula bar and press enter. Make sure that 'Show Formulas' is OFF. You can find the option under the tab 'Formulas'. Otherwise, you can use Ctrl + `.

8 sie 2013 · It seems that the links are changed to #REF! because the target spreadsheet (B.xls) is not trusted. By going to FILE->Options->Trust Center->Trust Center Settings-Trusted Locations and adding the folder containing B.xls I was able to make the problem stop happening.

9 lis 2022 · Thankfully, Excel has given us a tool within the Formulas > Formula Auditing > Error Checking > Circular References which displays the circular references in any of our open workbooks. As shown in the screenshot above, Cell B5 has a circular reference.
