I have numbers in cells in Excel. I want the numbers formatted so that if they have decimal places they show to a maximum of two, and if they have no decimal places it doesn't show any. For example. 15 should be formatted as 15, NOT 15.00. 14.3453453 should be formatted as 14.35.
How it works: semicolon divides the format for the positive number (first part) from the format for the negative number (second part). More in Excel number formats: Number format codes. Note that this format will work only for numbers with up to 4 digits to the left of the decimal point.

27 cze 2024 · Apply the underscore (_) to generate a space to add an indent. To indent from the left boundary, you can use _ ( and f or indenting from the right boundary, use _). Select cells in the range you want to create custom formatting. Press Ctrl + 1 to open the Format Cells dialog box.
Click or tap the document where you want to type a number and press the Tab key. As you type the number, the decimal point aligns on the tab. Do it again on the next line and the numbers will center on the decimal point. Change decimal separator. Line up columns of numbers by the decimal point with decimal tabs.
