26 maj 2021 · Maybe Excel has a bug in how dates are handled in Scatter charts. The problem was mine, not Excel's. I was plotting dates for morning, afternoon, and evenings, and so my columns had blank entries between dates. I discovered that any blank entry for a date causes the entire plot to start at 1900.
9 maj 2022 · I have a spreadsheet that converts the date in one cell to a year in another. I want to pull the formula down so that it automatically shows the date in columns A and B if there is a date in column C; however, I do not want it to say 1900 on blank cells.
12 sty 2018 · I've tried a few of Excel's standard date formats as well as one or two custom formats in the charts' source data, and have selected Date as the category in Axis Options (in Format Shape). Somehow, I gather, Excel's chart system is interpreting it all as strings, not dates.
26 lis 2003 · Your dates are not dates but string entries. Convert them to be actual Excel dates and everything should work fine. One way to convert string entries to numeric is to type 1 in an empty cell, copy that cell, and paste it over the cells you want to convert using Edit/Paste Special/Multiply. You may need to format the cells as date again afterwards.
17 maj 2021 · However, I want for cells in that column to be blank when N7 and/or M7 are empty. Then, when user enters the values for N7 and M7, it provides calculated dates for L7 and J7. Cells with calculated dates are green if 30+ days from Today, yellow if less than 30 days from Today, and red if Today or past Today.
7 lip 2015 · I have read that this is because Excel logs it as a number (1,2,3 and so on). I have looked at the formatting of the dates and it appears correct but the graph still reads wrong. Can someone explain how to correct this?
Have you double checked that your dates are actually dates and not text? ISNONTEXT(date) will return FALSE if it is text. Also, are there blank dates in your date ranges? If you have a calculation based around a blank, it could be returning 0, which date formats to Jan 1900.
