Dear friends in Christ, in the name of Jesus, we pause today to join in prayer for peace and justice in our communities. We gather with troubled hearts, sorrowed by the sins of racism, hatred, violence, and indifference, and we grieve for those who have been victims of injustice.
Let us take the next few minutes to reflect on Jesus’ message of peace. Let us think about how Jesus calls us to live this message: by praying for peace, by working for peace, and becoming makers of peace, as sons and daughters of God.

A PRAYER SERVICE FOR YOUR HOME 1. Set up a Sacred Space • Gather a few religious items from around your house to make a small prayer space. Consider including: • A Bible • A candle • A Crucifix, Cross, writing prayer intentions or picture of Jesus • A rosary or images of draw pictures of Jesus, or a saint Mary and the saints.
