18 gru 2023 · New measures to limit particle emissions from tyres and brakes and to increase battery durability. On Monday, Parliament and Council reached a provisional agreement on new rules to reduce road transport emissions for passenger cars, vans, buses, trucks and trailers.
The period in which emission requirements must be met has doubled with the Euro 7 standard. While Euro 6 regulations required vehicles to meet emission limits for 100,000 kilometers or 5 years, Euro 7 (light-duty) vehicles must meet these limits for 200,000 km or 10 years.

With the Euro 7 standard, the EU will become the first region in the world to propose limits on non-exhaust emissions, starting by particle emissions from brakes in cars and vans. As the Euro 7 standards are implemented, tests and limits will be set for other types of non-exhaust emissions.
