Safety Gate: the EU rapid alert system for dangerous non-food products allows the 31 participating countries (EU countries, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) and the European Commission to exchange information on products posing a risk to health and safety of consumers and on the measures taken by these countries to do away with that risk.
The Commission ensures daily communication with non-member countries as regards RASFF notifications in different ways, either directly through RASFF Window (to which nearly 100 countries have access), by exchanging e-mails, or through the INFOSAN network.
