18 kwi 2023 · I have 2 external drives and both are formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled). It has been fine in the past but now when I try to paste/merge folders I get an unexpected error code 0 on some (not all) folders, and on both external drives.

To resolve the error and ensure seamless file transfer, you may consider formatting the external drive to exFAT, compressing the large file, or dividing it into smaller parts.
My problem and solution: You can't create a bootable disk if your external drive is in APFS Volume format. Try right clicking your volume in Disk Utility, and Delete APFS Volume. Reformat as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).

15 lis 2019 · I have had a collection of various versions of OS-X installs set up on USB sticks. Have been using them with no bother for the past 5 + years. In the last 6-12 months they have all stopped working. When I try to re-burn them and use them the Mac system is saying the install has become corrupt.
