1 wrz 2017 · Searches to identify quasi-experimental (QE) studies should search a range of resources and, until indexing improves, use strategies that focus on the topic rather than the study design. Better definitions of QEs and better indexing of QE studies in databases are required to improve efficient retrieval.
This article discusses global coordination of efforts to institutionalize the inclusion of causal evidence from quasi-experiments in systematic reviews of health systems research.
Quasi-Experimental designs have much stronger external validity since they do not require indi-viduals to volunteer to participate and reflect real-life practice; they are also much cheaper and quicker since they use existing data.
