What does Ephesians 4:17 mean? In Ephesians 4:1–16, Paul focused on Christians living lives worthy of our calling by God. Now Paul transitions to a new section in verses 17–32. He contrasts the new life believers have in Christ, as opposed to the "old life" of the world.

1 sty 2016 · PRINCIPLE: Every Christian is in a war between his flesh and spirit. APPLICATION: The Christian is in a titanic tug of war against the proclivities of the flesh. The believer has two dynamics residing in him, the new and the old man (Eph 4:22, 24). Non-Christians have only one nature called the old man.
1. (Ephesians 4:7-10) The giving of spiritual gifts to the church. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men.”
I. One that is more general (v. 1). II. An exhortation to mutual love, unity, and concord, with the proper means and motives to promote them (v. 2-16). III.
