Solid rental experience at Kona International Airport on the Big Island. We rented a 4x4 for a week (total cost $745) and while we didn't need its full capabilities, it gave us peace of mind. The Jeep Trailhawk had over 25000 miles on it but ran well and gave decent gas mileage.
15 gru 2023 · I have booked a car rental at the Kona airport with Budget and now I see a better price with either Thrifty or Dollar. BUT i see all of these companies get really bad reviews on Trip Advisor for this location. Is there a car rental company that consistently provides a good car and good service?
We used the airport location last trip - onsite at KOA, just the short shuttle ride as said above. No complaints at all; quick & efficient & no upgrade pressure (actually got a free, unnecessary upgrade.) It does look like they have a second off-airport location at 74-5583 Luhia St. in Kailua-Kona.
