Table shows typical SWR relative to installed wire length. SWR will vary based on topography, proximity of nearby structures, configuration of the antenna wire and choice of ground or counterpoise. For best results, use the longest wire shown on the table that will fit your installation constraints. Installing the antenna wire as an Inverted L ...
19 sty 2017 · I want to use an end-fed wire antenna, but what would be the best length of wire for the 20m and 40m bands? Is there a way to work this out? This is assuming a tuner will be used.
With the 9:1 voltage unun and wire lengths suggested in the below tables the antenna should present non extreme impedances for all HF amateur band frequencies. This page is far from complete and represents the ongoing investigation into this type of antenna. Experiments to date seem to have raised more questions than obvious answers.
Recommended wire lengths and Installation Notes for Unun models 9130, 9132 & 9135. Table shows typical SWR relative to installed wire length. SWR will vary based on topography, antenna wire configuration and use of ground or counterpoise.
12 sie 2016 · So, how long a wire should you use for the antenna? It really depends on what bands you want to work. Mike, AB3AP, has calculated the lengths that give good results on various bands. Jack, VE3EED (SK), has also made this calculation.
Initial installation should utilize a length longer than the recommended length shown. Experimenting by slightly changing the wire length (+ or -) is encouraged to provide best overall performance for individual installations. If your need for band coverage is limited to 40m through 6m, the lengths shown below may also be used. 36 44 49
The W1SFR End Fed 35’ Random Wire Antenna with 9:1 UnUn. What is a random wire antenna and how does it work? The term “random” infers that you can use any length of wire you want as an antenna, while that basic fact is true, there are some practical considerations.
