This feature can be enabled on Linux too, using iw, and enabling this mode will allow wlan0 to be used in bridge interfaces, as well as with VirtualBox bridged networking: iw dev wlan0 set 4addr on.
4 sty 2024 · broken_system: is to switch to a 802.11s mesh instead of a WDS bridge. I am waiting with my TUF 6000 and openwrt until it is supported by https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/ To change to wpad-openssl for mesh can be a challlenge. I have read threads, where WDS was faster than mesh.
Create a bridge interface. Add a bridge port. This will be the ethernet interface that is to be bridged. Set the wireless mode to station-wds. Set WDS mode to dynamic with bridge interface set to our newly created bridge.
