24 maj 2014 · This tutorial shows how to set your own research times for technologies in Grand Campaign of Empire Total War. As many of you noticed, some of the technologies in ETW take ages to develop. It is no problem for big countries, but when you are playing small nations it is hard to research a technology in time.

Research. Tech Tree was introduced in Empire for the first time in the Total War series. The tech tree is categorized into three trees: Military, Industry and Enlightenment. Each of those trees is split into several branches. You will have to balance your research efforts between the three trees so that you can have a powerful empire.
14 maj 2016 · Study which techs in the Enlightenment research tree that will unlock upgrading schools, also which schools (after building) will open up what techs. The best school is a modern university (worth 24 research points).

Technology can be researched by factions to improve their economy, National Prestige, and military capabilities.
Research will take 8 days at your current research point level. You research 25% leaving 6 days until completion. Modifiers happen which reduces that research to 4 days
