13 lut 2012 · The radiofrequency ablation device transfers electromagnetic waves to the target tissues via a treatment electrode. The electrical resistance of human tissue helps convert this electromagnetic energy into molecular energy, which causes denaturation of intracellular and extracellular proteins resulting in coagulation effects [25] .
12 lip 2023 · The authors discuss two forms of cutaneous electroanalgesia for pain relief — transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation and scrambler therapy — addressing technology, safety, and results ...
Low-voltage electrocoagulation is an effective therapy for periorbital syringoma and should be considered when treating this difficult condition. To our knowledge, this is the first study utilizing electrocoagulation for removal of syringomas.
We present a decisional algorithm developed by a multidisciplinary group of experts, which focuses on pain assessment and therapeutic options for the management of neuropathic pain, particularly in the elderly. The algorithm involves four main steps: (1) detection, (2) evaluation, (3) treatment, and (4) re-evaluation.
The objective of this review was to merge current treatment guidelines and best practice recommendations for management of neuropathic pain into a comprehensive algorithm for primary physicians. The algorithm covers assessment, multidisciplinary ...
1 lut 2007 · In the study, periorbital syringomas were treated with a dual frequency 4MHz radiofrequency device (Surgitron, Ellman International, Inc.) at a power of one or two in electrocoagulation mode. Patients were followed up every six to eight weeks where treatment effects were observed and further treatment was applied if necessary.
29 maj 2021 · There is low-to-moderate quality evidence that peripheral nerve stimulation is effective for neuropathic pain in an extremity, low quality evidence that it is effective for back pain with or without leg pain, and conflicting evidence that it can prevent migraines.
