8 lut 2018 · If you're looking for longevity of the motor, a shorter break in will be better. For maximum power and speed, this method is solid. For modified motors with carbon brushes, shorten the break in time. Mleemor has had some of the fastest brushed cars that I've ever seen at handout motor events.
27 mar 2007 · The Break-in Process. Basically what you want to do is take 2 new AA’s for 2 or 3s lipo’s, and 6 to 8 cell NiMH’s and NiCD’s, or 1 new AA for anything smaller. If you have two or more batteries, take them and tape them together so that the + button from one battery contacts the – plate of the other battery.

I use a 3 volt power source (usually 2 - 1.5 volt D cells), submerge the motor in a large cup of Distilled water, run it in a reverse direction (+ battery supply to - motor connection), run it for 2 minutes, then reverse the battery connections to run it in a forward direction, and run it for 2 - 4 minutes.
16 maj 2009 · Have read threads on "water" break-in of 370/380 sized motors for the 300 size FP heli's. This won't work with the "Xtreme 380" aftermarkets since the ball bearings will be contaminated. So am wondering if "dry" break-in is only option.
15 cze 2016 · A quick and simple way to break in a brushed motor is to put it into a glass of water, and use a low voltage battery. A flashlight D-cell battery, 3 or 4 connected in series, would work. Run it for a couple of minutes.
23 sty 2016 · I am also using a normal brushed electric motor that changes the RPM a bit regarding the amount of power it has to deliver that also will give some sight on how loose the engine is becomming. A stepper motor does not change its RPM but it is a very good power plant.

The first electric RC models were equipped with brushed motors — in which brushes carry current and spin the rotor — and nickel-cadmium (NiCd) rechargeable battery packs. They provided flight times of around 5-10 minutes.
