8 lis 2008 · The back of the oil pressure gauge has 3 polls to connect wires to. A ground a 12 volt source and a signal. This doesn't include the light harness.... Which wire gets plugged into which port?
Oil Pressure Gauge. From the passenger side, left to right in the picture.. S terminal (left) – Purple wire from sender; Middle terminal – Black wire (Ground) Right terminal – Red wire (Ignition-on hot 12v) The oil pressure sending unit is on the engine block and looks like a small 2 X 3 inch filter with one terminal.

27 lut 2024 · The wiring diagram shows the oil pressure sender and the wire through a isolated bulb socket mounted to the cluster then a wire to the "I" terminal on fuel gauge. Seems odd they show a sender connected to a bulb. There is also a separate diagram that shows wiring to the gauge.

30 lip 2020 · The 70s-80s CJ have a purple and red wires. 80s oil gauge = purple wire to oil pressure switch, red wire spliced to another red wire running from the fuel gauge then continues to the 4wdr lamp. The red wires from the fuel gauge and spliced in oil gauge run to the fuse box. Hope this helps.
