The ice sports and event arena was opened and inaugurated on September 6, 2019. The arena was built to the Minergie standard for ice halls and has a very innovative ice technology system. The system is 100% ammonia-free with CO2, uses waste heat and thus has an excellent energy efficiency.
About club. The club was founded in 1941 and was promoted to the National League A in the 1959/60 season, where it was able to establish itself for more than 10 years. The highlight of club life so far was the Swiss championship title, which came on 3 February1962 following a 3-0 win against HCDavos – but this title has not yet been repeated.

20 lis 2020 · Since its official opening in September 2019, the EHC Visp ice hockey club in the canton of Valais has had a new home venue that satisfies the requirements of the Swiss League for the two top divisions while also serving as an event hall. The Lonza Arena can accommodate 5,000 people, 2,000 of them seated.
