Table shows typical SWR relative to installed wire length. SWR will vary based on topography, proximity of nearby structures, configuration of the antenna wire and choice of ground or counterpoise. For best results, use the longest wire shown on the table that will fit your installation constraints. Installing the antenna wire as an Inverted L ...
Figure 2 shows the complete schematic view of a typical EFHW antenna system. Briefly, the 100pf/2kv cap across the primary of the impedance matching transformer is there to allow better tuning in the 10 meter band. The transformer is a step-up with an impedance ratio of 49:1, and wound on a type 43 toroid core.
12 sie 2016 · I wish more people would go out into the wild with a 9:1 balun and recommended length(s) of wire and also a resonant end fed half wave (EFHW) using a 64:1 type transformer and correct wire lengths for either a 40-10m or 80-10m version.
19 sty 2017 · The best length is a half wavelength, or even multiples (1/2, 1, 3/2 etc.). Of course, that may be hard to get the best wavelength on one band and not the worst length on another band. My advice is to use a wire that is between 1/2 and 3/4 wavelength on the lowest band (40 meters here).
14 sie 2024 · The following steps outline how to calculate the length of an Efhw Antenna using the formula: L = 468 / f. First, determine the frequency (f) in MHz. Next, use the formula L = 468 / f to calculate the length of the antenna (L) in feet.
27 paź 2022 · Remember an antenna using a 9:1 matcher is meant to use a tuner, whether in your radio or external. The idea is to bring the impedance if a "random wire" down to a value your tuner can handle. The SWR values you show are right where they should be.
Application of 9:1 UNUN Emergency Amateur Radio Club of Hawaii (EARCHI) marketed a matchbox-kit for a 6-40 mtr multi-band end-fed antenna. Uses non-resonant antenna (Recommended antenna wire length: 24-30 ft (60 ft max) and powdered iron toroid, efficient transmission line transformer 7
