28 lip 2007 · The Edge III is a low-end tremolo, therefore it is prone to wear more quickly, and will probably need to be replaced at some point in the future.. The Edge Pro is a top of the line tremolo, and should never need replacing, if it's fore bearers (the Original Edge and LoPro Edge) are any indication.

The Edge III is a double locking tremolo system developed and produced for Ibanez which was introduced in 2005. It eventually replaced the Edge Pro II. As with most other double locking tremolos, it is based on a design pioneered by Floyd Rose. It has two knife edges which rest against posts.
3 lut 2010 · All of my double locking trem guitars are equipped with Ibanez Edge trems, even my custom guitars. They're my favorite trem. Mine are setup fully floating with a tremstopper. They feel great, have excellent stabilty and have great mass. I prefer these over the Floyds (yes, even the genuine ones).
1 cze 2020 · It is by far the lowest profile trem out of all the top of the line Ibanez trems, so extremely comfortable to play on when it's set up right. Personally I've had little tuning stability issues with it, but it's not my preferred trem if I have the choice. A great step up from the Edge 3 though!
