14 mar 2024 · The ear anatomy consists of three parts: the outer Ear, middle Ear, and inner Ear. The outer Ear is the part you can see, including the flap of skin called the pinna and the tube-like ear canal. The middle Ear is inside your head, and there is a space called the middle Ear.
16 sie 2020 · This article will focus on the anatomy of the external ear – its structure, neurovascular supply and clinical correlations. The external ear can be divided functionally and structurally into two parts; the auricle (or pinna), and the external acoustic meatus – which ends at the tympanic membrane.
OVERVIEW. There are three anatomical components to the human ear: the external, middle, and inner ear. The inner ear is a complex system found within a hollow cavity of the temporal bone of the human skull known as the bony labyrinth.
The ear is divided into three intercon-necting sections: external, middle and inner ears (Fig 1). While the external and middle ears are mainly concerned with the trans-mission of sound, the inner ear contains the cochlea – often called the organ of hearing – and also houses the body’s organ of balance.
