16 maj 2024 · In this work we characterized bone marrow distribution in the rat temporal bone and its connections with inner ear structures, by analyzing microCT and lightsheet image stacks of immunolabeled cleared temporal bones; whereas the former technique is faster and easier (and allows in vivo recordings), the latter allowed us to identify bone ...
16 maj 2024 · Temporal bone marrow is thought to play important roles in relation to the inner ear, but is still largely uncharacterized, given this bone complex anatomy. We characterized the geometry and connectivity of rat temporal bone marrow using lightsheet imaging of cleared samples and microCT.
28 lis 2019 · Best option for regeneration of ear cartilages is bone marrow stem cells. They can be cultured in chondrogenic media or co-culture with chondrocytes or culture in a cartilage extracellular matrix or cartilage scaffold.
2 sie 2015 · The present work assessed the possibility of mobilizing endogenous bone marrow derived stem cells (SCs) in rats using granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) to induce regeneration and repair to experimentally damaged inner ear hair cells by Amikacin injection.
In this study, we determined the effect of intratympanic administration of rodent bone marrow MSCs (BM-MSCs) on the inner ear in an immunocompetent rat model. The administration of MSCs did not lead to the generation of any oxidative stress in the rat inner ear.
Abstract. Aim: Mouse mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) can generate sensory neurons and produce inner ear hair cell-like cells. An equivalent source from humans is highly desirable, given their potential application in patient-specific regenerative therapies for deafness.
The ear and temporal bone manifest a variety of cartilaginous and bone pathologies. The complexity of this region combined with the rarity of biopsies from this site lead to challenges distinguishing disease processes in this area.
