24 paź 2024 · Glaciers are the topic of Dynamic Planet for the 2025 season. They were previously the event's topic during the 2013, 2014, and 2019 seasons. The current version of the GMOA Notes are not suitable for this Dynamic Planet topic.
Participants will demonstrate an understanding of the large-scale processes affecting the structure of Earth’s crust. Earthquakes, Volcanoes, and Tectonics is the topic of Dynamic Planet for the 2024 season. This topic was previously split between Earthquakes & Volcanoes and Tectonics.
In a nutshell, Dynamic Planet is an event about processes that change the Earth. The “process” that is focused on changes from year to year; it rotates between glaciers, oceanography, hydrology, and tectonics.
