24 wrz 2015 · Remove the DVI cable, connect the end that was connected to the video card, to the monitor. If you have another DVI monitor, try it. Try to use a different DVI cable.
22 lip 2012 · However the monitor will go to a black screen if started up in DVI, but not if I start it up with vga and then switch it when the computer is on. I just tried uninstalling the driver for the onboard graphics and rebooting with the new card.
19 paź 2012 · Simply put: both DVI and HDMI are digital signals; if the signal is too weak, the monitor won't sync to the computer, resulting in a blank screen. If the cable run is too long, or of the signal has been split (using a non-powered DVI or HDMI splitter), this can cause the monitor to go black because the signal isn't strong enough.

Connecting the monitor via VGA instead of DVI - solves the problem. Connecting the monitor via HDMI instead of DVI - does not solve the problem. Using a different version of Windows - does not solve the problem. Tried clean installations of Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. Using Linux instead of Windows - solves the problem.
