Microsoft Store opens when I insert a DVD. I see that others have had this problem previously, but it is brand new to me as of this week. Something must have updated and caused a problem. I have tried following all of the previously posted suggestions and have restarted my computer and nothing - NOTHING - seems to work.
For me, running Win10 64-bit (ver 1607), I tracked it down to a scheduled task which runs periodically and launches the Power Efficiency Diagnostics System Analyzer. If you think this may be the cause, you can quickly check it's the same sound by running powercfg.exe -energy from an elevated command prompt.
21 sie 2010 · #1. I have been using Home Premium 64 bit Windows 7 for over a year and all of a sudden, without any know reason, my top DVD tray opens each time I boot up. The tray opens and a window appears saying to insert a disk. I don't see anything in the start-up folder or in MSConfig that would cause this. My thought is that some cache needs to be cleared.
6 sie 2014 · There was no disc in the tray when it keeps opening. I replaced the disk drive and on first boot up with no disc in it, it would not stay shut.
