9 wrz 2024 · Try to access the contents of the disk using My Computer or File Explorer (it was called Windows Explorer in Microsoft Windows 7 and earlier versions of Microsoft Windows). Try to boot from the Dell Resource DVD to verify that the issue is with the drive and not the disk itself.
If you have a Windows system restore point available at a point you know the drive worked properly, that may be an easy fix. There's also a slight possibility that the drive may be actually recognized by Windows, but merely not assigned a drive letter.
14 lis 2015 · If your CD/DVD drive is not compatible with the Microsoft AHCI driver (msahci.sys), your disk controller may be set to AHCI in the system BIOS. You may be able to resolve the issue by disabling AHCI mode for your disk controller in the BIOS.
22 gru 2017 · dvd/cd-rw drive stopped being recognized by win 10 in September 2017. I have a Dell inspiron, which came with the drive. The drive is not in the device manager any longer. It is in bios listed under SATA 2. I have tried all the fixes I have read in community and from microsoft to no avail.
