Life Flight is available to transport critically ill or injured adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We provide rapid access to health care for patients when time, specialized skills, and/or specialized resources are critical for survival.

Duke requires Life Flight pilots to have a minimum of 2000 hours of flight experience, instrument flight rating, and qualified training to operate all aircraft. All pilots have previous military experience, with an average of more than 6000 flight hours.
