One of my favorite summer things, bat watching 🦇. There used to be a very large bat colony where the Truckee crosses McCarran on the east side. I haven't been in many years. They swarm out from under the McCarran overpass. There is the Truckee bike trail there, where you can safely sit and watch. Landscape orientation is a lost art.
