19 wrz 2019 · I have a HP ZBook Studio G4 Mobile Workstation, with 2-off USB C ports. I have successfully been using these ports, via 2-off USB C to HDMI Type C Thunderbolt cables, to connect 2 external monitors. All was fine and functioned without issue. These now do not work and the displays are not recognised.
Check you sound settings and make sure your headset is the default audio output device. Driver updates might revert settings so check if you don't get sound. Reply reply

23 mar 2021 · You need a usb-c to audio adapter that specifically states that it includes a DAC chip. If there's no chip, it's using non standard analog audio over the usb-c connector. Reply reply
