I was using Drama Queen, which is great for planning as well. Unfortunately, my trial expired and I currently can't afford to pay for it. The free version doesn't have a script function, which is both annoying and weird.
Beat is a simple and elegant screenwriting application for macOS, featuring great outlining tools. It also uses the plain-text Fountain screenplay format, which means you can open the files anywhere. What's best, Beat is free and open-source!
