23 maj 2020 · Roomba 770 Error 5 Troubleshooting and Resolution. I managed to solve my Roomba 770 Error 5 Charging Issue and would like to share my experience here. The symptom I experienced with my Roomba was basically after charging on the charging dock for about 30 minutes, Error 5 will start flashing.
Unlike Roomba error 14 or 15, a Roomba error 5 is telling you that there is no electricity reaching your robotic vacuum, meaning it can’t charge properly. Fortunately, there is some good news here: this is often an easy fix.
Charging errors four (4) and five (5) mean that electrical current is not reaching the robot. The robot loosing charge could be caused by either the robot, the battery, the Home/Clean Base or the Power Line Cord.

25 kwi 2018 · Now the docking issue is solved. The Roomba can now dock successfully. Unfortunately, after about 1 hour on the dock, it threw out ERROR 5 again. It did this 2 or 3 times. I took my multimeter and tested the voltage of the power supply and it read ~22V and the contacts on the dock plates read ~2.8v.
