Install failed immediately with a error message that a relase date check needs to be done. Tried it several times, no way to make this work. How can I fix this to get the game installed?
I've been having issues with my copy of Dragon Age 2 on my macbook (OSX). I bought the game of Amazon.com. It downloaded fine, installed fine, but when I tried to run it I it kept telling me I failed the release date check.

I finally decided to buy a retailer physycal DVD-ROM version of Dragon Age 2. Guess what happened: After installing it, the game's ridiculous DRM (Release Date Check / SecuROM) gave an unknown error upon activation! Without even explaining what the error was!
Bioware doesn't know what the hell's going on and the only people who've managed to come up with a solution downloaded a crack for the game to bypass the date check. Until Bioware can reproduce...
22 gru 2015 · I just received Dragon Age 2 for PC which I purchased through eBay. I installed it with no problem. But when I tried to run the game, it tried to do a "release date check" which it failed, thus preventing the game from working. Repeated restarts fail to get past this.
18 sie 2015 · This is where I am now stuck; each time I attempt to run the release date check, it either doesn't make any progress, or only gets to about 40%, and then I receive a popup saying that there has been an error checking the release date.
