I've been having issues with my copy of Dragon Age 2 on my macbook (OSX). I bought the game of Amazon.com. It downloaded fine, installed fine, but when I tried to run it I it kept telling me I failed the release date check.
Hero. Check the date and time in your PC system's time (the clock and calendar at the bottom right in the task bar). If this is incorrect and defaults to a date earlier than the release of the game you will get the error that you describe.

11 mar 2011 · Ok, u mnie łatka z tej strony rozwiązała problem. W magiczny sposób omija "Release Data Check" przy pierwszym uruchomieniu i od razu wchodzi w okienko z logiem. Potem tylko trzeba wpisać 16-cyfrowy kod z ostatniej strony instrukcji i gra.
