22 sty 2016 · Unless you made a backup of your Windows XP installation before you installed Windows 10, the only way to go back to Windows XP is with a clean install, if you can find legal installation media for Windows XP.
These machines are designed and certified by dell to be downgradable to xp, but your machine is certainly from the era of xp with it's core 2 duo. Also, some super rare models of the e4310 came with vista instead of 7, and use the same specs as my e4310 that has the 7 sticker.
So I got an old laptop that originally had XP on it (Dell Inspiron Mini 9 Netbook) and it has Windows 10 installed. What is the best method to get it back to XP? Will it require going to 7/8 first or can I just use a USB boot drive to fresh install XP onto it?
7 cze 2008 · Downgrade Vista to XP. Hello: I have installed a valid XP pro several times on existing older desktops to upgrade older OS. I had fully functional device manager listings in all cases except a Gateway, which left me w/o drivers fro audio, video, and network. It was very difficult to find them, but eventually I did, and all worked well.
20 gru 2007 · If you purchase a used system and it has an OEM license for XP then you can use an OEM copy of XP to install it on that computer. The only other option is to purchase a retail copy of the OS you want to install.

11 maj 2022 · You need to download an XP iso with volume license and reinstall over the old OS. Besides this, you probably need to enable compatibility or legacy boot in the BIOS, and reformat the hard drive to a Master Boot Record partition table (backup valuable data).
