9 lis 2017 · Discussions Rules and Guidelines. I have tried verifying cache, reinstalling,restaring steam/pc and 3 different hardrives. I get a connection timed out error, which makes no sense as i can update and install other games whilst watching 4k youtube fine.
14 gru 2017 · while playing dota2, I suddenly get out of game and my dota2 in stream show message "dota2 update required". I cannot play it until it completely be updated, but how it doesn't update. I restarted steam 2 times and restart pc 1 time but it still doesn't work.

If you find it odd when your DOTA2 is not detected and needs to be installed but in fact if you look at in the \Steam\steamapps\Common\ and you see dota 2 beta folder. when you open the dota2.exe and it runs but the dota2 client is not updated. You need to exit to update the said game.
An issue with DotA2 crashing is not related to the long load times from not having loaded game resources (which is the problem resolved by spectating a match before queueing). I would recommend posting the details of the machine and the crashes to the development forums.

Every time I download the update, it completes, but the "Update Required" next to Dota2 in the game library never goes away, and when I try to launch it starts the download again.
