13 wrz 2019 · Basically, a March-April 1945 dated crate filled with unissued M1 helmets was found and it also contained CAPAC liners and DOT/Anchor stamped leather liner chinstraps. It's interesting that the rivets are brass (indicated by the green corrosion) while the buckle is steel.

30 wrz 2015 · Like the M1 helmet, if a WWII-era liner has post war parts, e.g., headband or nape strap, or chin straps they would need to be replaced to accurately represent a WWII liner. But unlike the helmet, this is much easier and does not require specialized tool, unless replacement of the suspension or repainting is needed..
