The 154-site campground is usually open from Memorial Day until mid-September, unless snowfall prohibits. Each campsite has a table and stove, as well as a parking space. Restrooms with hot showers are nearby. Some of the campsites will accommodate trailers or motorhomes up to 24 feet long.
The seasonal campground lies near the east shore of scenic Donner Lake and its popular swimming beaches. The campground is set within a lodgepole pine forest around the Ridge Creek and Splitrock loops, and the lake is never more than a short walk away.
