Yeah, so the thing about LOMI (and other similar products) is that they don't actually make compost at all. They essentially grind up and dehydrate food wastes (and waste electricity while they're at it).
My city doesn’t have a green waste / compost program, and the big thing that attracts me to a Lomi is that you can put basically most types of organic material into it, including meat trimmings, which are absolutely nasty in a regular compost bin.
